Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data Profitcura Ltd collects through profitcura.com, why we collect it, how long we keep it and the rights you have over it. We have tried to write it in plain English.
Who we are
Profitcura Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can contact us about anything in this policy at info@profitcura.com.
What we collect and why
We collect personal data in three ways.
- Enquiry form. When you send an enquiry we collect your name, work email address, company name, the service you are interested in, your message, the page you sent it from, and technical details such as your IP address and browser type. We use this to respond to your enquiry, to protect the form against abuse, and, if you become a client, to deliver our services. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries, and where a contract follows, the performance of that contract.
- Direct contact. If you email or call us, we keep the correspondence so we can respond and keep a record of our dealings with you. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest.
- Analytics. With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. This collects pseudonymous usage data such as pages visited, device type and approximate location. We do not load analytics until you accept analytics cookies, and you can withdraw consent at any time using the cookie preferences link in the footer. Our lawful basis is consent.
Who we share data with
We use a small number of service providers to run the website and respond to enquiries: Microsoft Azure for hosting and data storage, an email delivery provider to send enquiry notifications and confirmations, and Google for analytics where you have consented. These providers process data on our instructions under written agreements. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
International transfers
Our website and enquiry data are hosted in the United Kingdom on Microsoft Azure. Some providers, such as Google Analytics, may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, transfers are protected by UK-approved safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep data
Enquiry data is kept for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, unless you become a client, in which case it is kept for the duration of our relationship and for six years afterwards to meet legal and accounting obligations. Analytics data is retained for 14 months. Server logs that include IP addresses are kept for up to 30 days for security purposes.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where consent is our lawful basis. To exercise any of these rights, email info@profitcura.com. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to resolve the issue first.
Security
The website is served over HTTPS. Enquiry data is stored in an encrypted database with access restricted to the people who need it to respond to you. We review our security measures regularly.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when our practices change and show the date of the latest version at the top of the page.
